Frequently Asked Questions
A helpful collection of information that you may have questioned. This is a great starting place to look at when experiencing an issue. Can't find the answer? Feel free to open a support ticket.
How fast are Veilock's servers?
We offer both TCP and UDP solutions. Our UDP option provides better speeds as it lacks reliability (that is added through TCP). Protocol, encryption, and distance heavily effect speed. Our VPN servers frequently have 10-gigabit to 40-gigabit networking to allow large data streams.
Which payments does Veilock accept?
We provide several payment options for your convenience. You can purchase Veilock using Stripe, which accepts various payment methods such as credit/debit cards, WeChat Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Additionally, we accept payments through PayPal and Coinbase, ensuring that you can use the payment method that best suits your needs. With these various payment options, purchasing Veilock is quick, secure, and hassle-free.
Can I torrent on Veilock?
As stated in our Terms of Service agreement, torrenting and distribution/downloading of illegal content is not allowed. You must comply to the jurisdictional laws of the location which you connect to. Veilock reserves the right to suspend service should we receive abuse reports.
We do, however, offer Streaming Servers (based in Switzerland) where we have removed the torrent/P2P blocking technology. Torrenting is only allowed on our Streaming Servers.

What encryption does Veilock use?
Veilock, by default, uses AES-256 encryption on all VPN nodes. Users do however have the opportunity to adjust the encryption algorithm & protocol, allowing for potential speed boosts.
Does Veilock work in China?
Veilock does bypass the great firewall of China and allows people in the region to circumvent censorship and access western media in a breeze.
Can Vortex be disabled?
Vortex can be disabled by opening a support ticket, where a network engineer will apply the needed changes to your account. You can opt for Vortex at a later time with ease.
Is Veilock RAM based?
All of Veilock’s VPN nodes run on ramdisk (memory) containers, meaning data is wiped upon server power loss/restart. Storing on memory, alongside writing to an unwritable directory is how we achieve file-sided user security.
Is Veilock DDoS Protected?
We maintain a hand-picked blend of high-quality networking peers, allowing Veilock not only to be low-latency but have extensive Denial of Service Coverage.
How many devices can you connect at the same time?
Our VPN's Early Access plan supports up to two devices connected at any given time. This means that you can secure your internet connection on two of your devices simultaneously, such as your laptop and phone, without the need to purchase multiple plans.
If there is a police order asking for logs or personal information, will you provide it to them?
Veilock is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, which is why we minimize the amount of information we collect and release transparency reports on the requests we receive. As a registered business, we understand our legal obligations, but we also believe in preserving the privacy and security of our users. Our goal is not to make law enforcement's job any easier or harder, but rather to provide a secure and private VPN service to our customers.
Does Veilock offer Private / Dedicated IPs?
We offer customers the option to purchase dedicated IP addresses for an additional monthly cost of $3.00, with pricing variations depending on location. This allows users to have a static IP address that is exclusively assigned to them, which can provide benefits such as easier access to certain networks or services. If you're interested in purchasing a dedicated IP, simply contact our customer support team for more information.
Will Veilock speed up my Internet connection? How can it affect my Internet connection?
The speed and latency of your internet connection while using our VPN can vary depending on several factors, including which server you connect to and the distance from that server to your true location. To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend selecting the closest server to your location. It's normal for VPNs to slightly throttle your speed as your traffic is encrypted to a high level, but our VPN is designed to minimize any impact on your internet speed.
Can I ask for a refund if I am not satisfied with your service?

If you're not satisfied with our service for any reason, simply open a support ticket or visit our billing panel to cancel your subscription and request a refund.
